The Rev. Brett Simek is a 2015 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne, IN. He graduated in May of 2015 with his Master of Divinity and was ordained and installed as Pastor on July 12, 2015 at Hope Lutheran Church. He was born in St. Louis, MO and grew up in Southern Illinois. He graduated High School from St. Louis University High School in 2007 and continued his education at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from Rhodes College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in psychology with a Greek and Roman Studies minor.
After college, he began his seminary studies at Concordia Theological Seminary and married his wife, Nicole Simek in 2011. Pastor Simek and Nicole currently have two children, Joel and Elijah, and a dog, Ellie. Pastor Simek enjoys spending time with his family and playing sports, especially golf, soccer, and basketball. He also serves as the Catechesis Coordinator for Higher Things.
